SOLVA: 3rd November 1943, Paris.
I sat in the middle of the crypt.
Mrs. Richard took out that emerald typewriter.
The sapphire spiders were crawling on her neck,
Then I realized the medium is about to continue again.
MRS. RICHARD: Are you ready, my guests?
Ready?
Ok.
Son of the whales,
Tonight, we shall beget,
Daughter of the Uncanny Ashes,
Tonight, we shall resurrect;
My interlocutors, offer your flesh,
Tonight, we shall revel;
The sage of Tours we summon you,
Come to your fellowship,
Speak,
Speak!
DE VERVILLE: Who’s speaking?
MRS.RICHARD: I'm a devout messenger.
DE VERVILLE: What's the message, earthly dweller?
MRS.RICHARD: Gods have bellowed, the second deluge shall come.
DE VERVILLE: Look, look! Another elect, but so late for our Nekyia!
MRS.RICHARD: Allow me to seek Coagula,
And show us the oracle, please.
Our king shall deliver.
SOLVA: My hands turned extremely cold
And my mind was tamed by one slinking shape
I saw dozens of spiders crawling over her still face
How dreadful she looked
The typewriter began to clack without hands on
Meanwhile, I heard the dreadful speech
Dread Coagula of human speech
COAGULA: We come in clusters to quai of the fifth saint
To grey worlds hidden deep in the metal stings
Out of what spring we would crawl we could not tell
But every night we see the obelisk at the creek
Black, horned, with spinning swords
And the reddish tails that bear the barb of scorpios
Find her cenotaph within the equatorial wold
Find her, find her
Automata
SOLVA: I stormed out of the crypt, (and) ran along the quai de Saint-Michel.
I know what the verses implied, of course, I know.
The apparition is murmuring in my head. Then the black statue was in front of me.
A black angel, like a morph, overwhelms Satan, and the fountain with dragons.
This is where I found the bouquet and that music box.
Mrs. Richard took away the bouquet and gave me a coin, and the box.
As my next penance, she asked me to reach Le Havre where to find one old man wearing a black cloak,
whose face is pale, fearsome, (and) atonic.
SOLVA: I met that old man in a towery church on the coast of France,
After seeing the coin, he led me to a ship called Baarlotz.
And I got on board, hearing the crew call him Maladie, the captain of Florebo.
“To Africa! To Africa!” All the sailors shouted loudly.
This old man tossed the coin, then asked me:
“Are we heads or tails?”
“Heads? Or tails?”
